TrainCan Advanced Food Safety & Train the Trainer Workshops Mar 4, 2010
The Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council (NSTHRC) is pleased to offer two of TrainCan’s Canadian Management level food safety training programs. The Advanced.fst and the Train-the-Trainer workshops will give your Management Team the skills to develop and monitor a food safety system. Successful Train-the-Trainer candidates will be able to deliver food safety training for staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
The NSTHRC has engaged Nicole Simensen owner of Vision Food Systems Inc. http://www.visionfoodsystems.com/ as your facilitator. Nicole has a Master’s degree in Human Ecology and certification as a Servsafe and TrainCan Food Protection Instructor and HACCP coordinator. She has a reputation as a specialist in safety-focused food delivery systems and related staff training.
March 15th, 2010, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. - Advanced.fst participants will learn the skills to develop a food safety system, reduce waste and improve profit margins. The examination will be at the end of the day. This food safety certification is valid for five years.
March 16th, 2010, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. - Train-the-Trainer is a Nationally recognized program that will teach the fundamentals of facilitation and effective program delivery. Participants will learn teaching techniques, adult learning principles and become qualified to deliver in house food safety programs.
**To be approved as a TrainCan food safety basics.fst instructor a candidate must achieve a passing Advanced.fst grade of 90% or greater.
This is program is designed for, but not limited to: Head Chef, Supervisor, Banquet Manager or In House Trainer.
