Advocacy


RANS liases with different levels of Government to ensure industry voices are heard. During the pandemic, we successfully supported restaurants by advocating for third party alcohol delivery and we launched a province-wide consumer confidence campaign as well to encourage patrons dine out. We have also supported such initaitives as service dogs on patios, and patio extension grants. You can view our past, and ongoing, advocacy efforts here. 


Resources/Education


RANS stays up-to-date on the most current educational opportunities for culinary professionals and restaurant workers around the province. You can view a list of current opportunities here. In addition, RANS partners with businesses to promote, or deliver informative webinars and information sessions. Don't forget to subscribe to our newsletters and follow us on social media for up-to-date information on program offers and resources. 


Events


RANS hosts numerous events each year! Network with operators and suppliers at our industry Golf Tournament or showcase your hardwork through the Nova Scotia Restaurants Awards. Each spring you can enjoy our line up of Savour events including the Craft Beer Cottage Party, Imbibe (a cocktail event), Rare and Fine Wine, and of course - the much loved Savour Food and Wine show, celebrating its 20th year in 2024. Craft beer and Imbibe are open to applicable food and beverage businesses, however exhibitors for the Savour Food and Wine show must be members of RANS.
