Piquant mustard and sweet brown sugar complements the spicy, smoky flavor of bourbon in the glaze on these hearty pork chops.
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
Glaze
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1/4 cup stone-ground mustard
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon*
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Chop
4 (1-inch thick) boneless pork loin chops
Directions:
Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Melt butter in 1-quart saucepan until sizzling; add garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 1 minute. Stir in all remaining glaze ingredients with wire whisk.
Place pork chops onto grill. Grill, turning once, until internal temperature reaches at least 160°F. or until desired doneness (15 to 20 minutes). Brush pork chops with glaze during last 5 minutes of cooking. Cook remaining glaze over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Serve pork chops with heated glaze.
*Substitute 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate.
Recipe Tip:
Cooking times for meat depends on the shape and type of cut and whether or not it contains a bone. Use a meat thermometer or temperature probe to determine when pork is done. It should be between 160°F and 170°F for medium doneness.
