Capicola Steak Hoagie

This Capicola steak is a true Pork Shop signature. The marinated pork steak can be used for your next backyard barbeque.

In this recipe, enjoy capicola steak prepared as a hoagie.


10 oz (300 g) capicola steak
1 medium onion, julienned
1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
8 oz (250 g) button mushrooms, sliced
2 7-inch sub buns


Cook your capicola steak on the barbeque until medium. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice.

In a frying pan, melt butter then saute onions and mushrooms until soft, about 3 minutes. Add your sliced capicola steak and mix well.

Grill your Hoagie bun and cut open. At this point, add your favourite cheese to the mixture in the pan. Stuff both buns and serve with your favourite Nova Scotia beer.
